WOW Recruitment is currently seeking experienced Customer Service Officers to join our pool of temps for upcoming roles within NSW Local Government.

We’re partnering with multiple councils across Sydney to fill both front desk and phone-based customer service positions. These roles suit candidates who are confident communicators, organised, and passionate about helping their local community.
What you may be doing?
- Acting as the first point of contact for resident and ratepayer enquiries
- Managing inbound calls, emails, and face-to-face service at council centres
- Assisting with enquiries relating to waste, permits, payments, bookings, and general council services
- Using internal systems to log requests and update customer records
- Escalating complex matters to internal teams while maintaining exceptional customer care
- Supporting general administrative tasks and ensuring accurate data entry
What do you bring?
- Previous experience in a Local Council, Government Department, or high-volume customer service roles
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Confidence handling a wide range of enquiries with empathy and professionalism
- A good understanding of council services and the ability to navigate relevant systems
- Availability to work full-time, with immediate or short-notice availability
