The 3D Designer / Exhibition Designer within an experiential or events agency is a creative powerhouse responsible for conceptualising and visualising immersive physical environments. They translate client briefs and creative concepts into tangible, engaging, and functional 3D designs for exhibitions, brand activations, event spaces, and bespoke installations.

Day to day, a 3D Designer develops detailed floor plans, renders, visualisations, and technical drawings using CAD and 3D modelling software. They collaborate closely with Creative Directors, Event Producers, and Production Managers to ensure designs are innovative, technically feasible, and align with client objectives and budgets.

• Develop innovative 3D designs and concepts for exhibitions, brand activations, event environments, and bespoke installations.
• Translate client briefs and creative concepts into detailed 3D models, renders, and visualisations.
• Produce technical drawings, floor plans, and production specifications for fabrication and build.
• Collaborate with Creative Directors to conceptualise and refine design solutions.
• Work closely with Event Producers and Production Managers to ensure designs are technically feasible, budget-friendly, and meet safety requirements.
• Select and specify materials, finishes, furniture, and props for designs.
• Prepare compelling presentations of design concepts for client pitches and internal reviews.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest 3D design software, rendering techniques, and industry trends.
• Manage multiple design projects concurrently and adhere to tight deadlines.
• Participate in on-site walkthroughs and contribute to design implementation.
  

Skills & Qualifications:  

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Exhibition Design, Architecture, Interior Design, or a related 3D design field.
• Proven experience (3-5+ years) as a 3D Designer or Exhibition Designer, preferably within an experiential, events, or creative agency.
• Exceptional proficiency in 3D modeling and rendering software (e.g., SketchUp, Rhino, 3ds Max, Cinema 4D, Blender).
• Expertise in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Vectorworks).
• Strong portfolio showcasing a range of conceptual and production-ready 3D design work for events/exhibitions.
• Excellent spatial awareness, attention to detail, and understanding of fabrication methods.
• Ability to translate ideas into compelling visual presentations.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Knowledge of materials, finishes, and event production processes.
