Position: Assistant Brand Manager
The Assistant Brand Manager supports the Brand Manager in developing, implementing, and managing brand strategies and marketing campaigns to enhance brand equity and drive business growth. This role is crucial in understanding market trends, consumer insights, and competitive landscapes to inform brand initiatives.
Day to day, an Assistant Brand Manager assists with market research, analyses brand performance, coordinates marketing campaigns across various channels, manages agency relationships, and helps develop brand messaging and assets. They are highly analytical, organised, and passionate about building strong brands.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Support the Brand Manager in developing and executing comprehensive brand strategies.
- Conduct market research to identify consumer insights, market trends, and competitive activities.
- Analyse brand performance data, sales figures, and marketing campaign effectiveness.
- Coordinate the development and implementation of marketing campaigns across digital, traditional, and retail channels.
- Assist in the creation of marketing materials, advertising copy, and brand assets, ensuring brand consistency.
- Manage relationships with external agencies (e.g., creative, media, PR) and internal stakeholders.
- Monitor brand health metrics and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Support product launches and brand activation events.
- Manage marketing budgets and track expenditure.
- Prepare regular reports on brand performance and campaign ROI.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- Proven experience (1-3 years) in a marketing coordinator, assistant brand manager, or similar role.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and draw insights.
- Excellent project management and organisational abilities.
- Solid understanding of marketing principles and brand management concepts.
- Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and a passion for brands.
