WOW Recruitment are seeking a CRO Lead to join a high-growth digital healthcare scale-up.
This is an opportunity to own conversion end-to-end from shaping the strategy to running bold experiments and embedding a culture of testing. You’ll have the influence to bring Product, Marketing, Design and Clinical teams together, while building and leading a CRO function from the ground up.
About the Company
This fast-scaling digital health business supports hundreds of thousands of patients globally with innovative care programs and a multidisciplinary clinical team. Backed by top-tier investors and expanding across ANZ, the UK, Europe and Asia, the mission is simple: make good health last a lifetime.
The Role
As CRO Lead, you’ll be responsible for creating and delivering one of the most effective conversion optimisation functions in Australia. This isn’t a role for someone looking to only tweak landing pages—you’ll be setting the overall CRO vision, driving a testing culture, and directly impacting how patients engage with healthcare from the very first interaction.
You’ll take ownership of the full funnel, uncovering what builds trust and what creates hesitation. By combining data, experimentation, and empathy, you’ll design journeys that feel supportive, safe, and clear—transforming uncertainty into confidence, and intent into action.
This is a senior operator role: you’ll build the strategy, run high-impact experiments, and over time, recruit and lead a team that makes CRO a central growth lever for the business. You’ll have the authority, budget, and cross-functional support to test and ship ideas quickly, with real ownership of results.
Key responsibilities include:
- Own the CRO strategy: set the vision, design the roadmap, and prioritise experiments that drive measurable impact.
- Run rigorous experimentation: design and deliver A/B and multivariate tests with analytical discipline and clean measurement.
- Shape the customer journey: identify friction points, optimise messaging and UX, and build journeys that reduce fear and build trust.
- Collaborate cross-functionally: work with Product, Engineering, Design, Clinical, and Performance teams to deliver improvements at pace.
- Analyse and report: define success metrics, build dashboards, track results, and present insights to leadership.
- Build the CRO function: hire and mentor a team, establish best practices, and embed experimentation into company culture.
- Champion patient-first thinking: ensure all changes align with clinical standards, privacy requirements, and ethical UX principles.
About You
You blend analytical rigour with creative empathy, equally comfortable briefing design teams as you are building dashboards. You influence stakeholders with confidence, thrive on ownership, and have the drive to stand up a CRO function.
We’re looking for:
- 4–6+ years in CRO, growth, or experimentation (or consulting + startup mix).
- Proven track record of moving conversion metrics and leading cross-functional initiatives.
- Commercially sharp, data-driven, and confident delivering bold solutions at pace.
- Sydney-based, with the credibility to inspire confidence and lead a team.
Desirable but not essential:
- Experience in healthcare or regulated industries.
- Strong instincts for copy, UX, and behavioural design.
- Comfort with no-code/low-code testing and analytics tools.
- Confident with data and integrations — syncing systems, managing UTMs, and connecting platforms via middleware (Zapier, Make, or similar).
- Solid understanding of analytics and attribution — building dashboards, tracking funnels, and surfacing actionable insights.
- Experience with website and CMS updates — landing pages, campaign content, and tag implementation.
- Knowledge of referral and lead programs — ensuring accurate tracking, attribution, and handover to sales.
- Awareness of privacy and compliance standards across AU/NZ marketing activity.
- A collaborative mindset with strong communication skills, comfortable working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
