About the Role
As the Rental Coordinator, you will be the key link between customers, operations, drivers, operators, and the workshop team. You’ll be responsible for coordinating rental activity, ensuring equipment is scheduled correctly, jobs run smoothly, and customers are kept informed at every stage.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule rental bookings
- Manage daily equipment availability, reservations, and job scheduling
- Liaise with clients to confirm job requirements, timeframes, site access, and safety needs
- Coordinate transport and equipment movements
- Monitor off-hire returns and ensure timely collection
- Maintain accurate job books, hire schedules, and documentation
- Act as the main point of contact for customer enquiries and updates
- Support basic debtors follow-up and ensure hire documentation is completed correctly
- Work closely with maintenance/workshop teams to confirm fleet readiness
- Ensure WH&S, compliance, and site requirements are met
- Previous experience in rental coordination, hire, logistics, or scheduling
- Ability to hit the ground running in a busy operational role
- Excellent organisation, time management, and communication skills
- Confident liaising with customers and internal teams
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and compliance
