Position: Creative Director (Events/Experiential Agency)

The Creative Director in an events or experiential agency is the visionary leader responsible for setting the creative standard and guiding the agency's innovative output. They are the driving force behind compelling concepts and immersive experiences, translating client objectives into groundbreaking creative strategies that captivate audiences and achieve measurable results.

Day to day, a Creative Director leads and inspires a team of designers (3D, graphic), copywriters, and content creators. They are deeply involved in client pitches, conceptualising unique solutions, providing creative direction, and ensuring the final execution aligns perfectly with the initial creative vision, pushing boundaries while maintaining brand integrity.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead and inspire the agency's creative department, setting the creative vision and standard for all events and experiential campaigns.
  • Conceptualise innovative and impactful experiential solutions that meet client objectives and resonate with target audiences.
  • Provide strong creative direction and mentorship to a team of 3D Designers, Graphic Designers, and Copywriters.
  • Lead the creative development for high-stakes new business pitches and proposals.
  • Translate client briefs into compelling creative strategies and visual executions.
  • Oversee the entire creative process from ideation to final design, ensuring quality and consistency.
  • Collaborate closely with Account Directors, Event Producers, and Production Managers to ensure creative concepts are strategically sound, feasible, and delivered to budget.
  • Present creative concepts confidently and persuasively to clients.
  • Stay ahead of global creative trends, emerging technologies, and competitor innovations in the experiential space.
  • Foster a collaborative and inspiring creative culture within the agency.

 

Skills & Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Advertising, Marketing, Communications, or a related creative field.
  • Extensive experience (8-10+ years) in a senior creative role, with significant time as a Creative Director or Associate Creative Director within a leading experiential, advertising, or brand agency.
  • Exceptional portfolio showcasing a track record of innovative, award-winning experiential campaigns and creative solutions.
  • Strong conceptual thinking and strategic problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven leadership, team management, and mentorship skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication and presentation skills.
  • Deep understanding of brand strategy, consumer behaviour, and experiential marketing.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and relevant 3D visualisation tools.
  • Ability to inspire, challenge, and motivate creative teams.
