Summary

The Business Development / Account Manager is responsible for driving sustainable revenue growth by developing new business opportunities, strengthening key client relationships and expanding our clients preventative maintenance portfolio across the strata, commercial, industrial and facilities management sectors.

This role combines strategic sales, account management, quoting, customer relationship management and preventative maintenance contract development. The successful candidate will become the primary point of contact for major accounts while identifying and securing new long-term clients.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development
  • Identify and secure new strata, commercial, industrial and facilities management clients.
  • Develop strategic relationships with property managers, building managers, facility managers and procurement teams.
  • Conduct regular face-to-face client meetings and networking visits.
  • Generate new preventative maintenance contracts.
  • Increase service and installation opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Develop opportunities through cold calling, email campaigns and referrals.
  • Attend site meetings and represent company professionally.

Key Account Management

Manage and grow relationships with major accounts including:
  • Strata Management Companies
  • Building Management Companies
  • Commercial Property Managers
  • Industrial Property Owners
  • National Retail Groups
  • Construction Companies
  • Government and Education Clients
Responsibilities include:
  • Regular account reviews
  • Building manager visits
  • Relationship development
  • Customer retention
  • Identifying additional service opportunities
  • Ensuring high customer satisfaction
Preventative Maintenance Program
Take ownership of companies Preventative Maintenance Division by:
  • Identifying buildings suitable for preventative maintenance agreements.
  • Preparing and issuing preventative maintenance proposals.
  • Managing contract renewals.
  • Coordinating PM schedules with the Service Team.
  • Maintaining the PM master register.
  • Ensuring service reports, photos and recommendations are sent promptly after each visit.
  • Growing recurring maintenance revenue.
Quotation Management
  • Review and issue quotations prepared by technicians.
  • Submit quotations through client portals and directly to customers.
  • Follow up all outstanding quotations.
  • Convert opportunities into approved works.
  • Track quote conversion rates.
Compliance & Contractor Management
Coordinate company compliance requirements including:
  • CM3 / Site360
  • Customer onboarding portals
  • Contractor registrations
  • Insurance documentation
  • Licences and certifications
  • Ensure everything remains compliant for national account opportunities.
  • Assist in ensuring customer expectations are exceeded from enquiry through to project completion.
New Business
  • Number of qualified new client meetings each week.
  • Number of new account opportunities added to pipeline weekly.
Client Retention
  • Maintain high customer satisfaction.
  • Increase revenue from existing key accounts.
Account Growth
  • Develop strategic relationships with major strata groups and facilities management companies.
  • Expand service offerings across existing portfolios.
Skills & Experience
  • Proven Business Development and Account Management experience.
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills.
  • Experience within Building Services, Construction, Facilities Management or Strata preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to build long-term business relationships.
  • Confident using CRM software and Microsoft Office.
  • Current Australian Driver Licence.
