WOW Recruitment is seeking an experienced and adaptable Medical Administrator to join a well-established specialist healthcare practice in Camperdown.
This is a permanent part-time position and is best suited to someone seeking long-term, ongoing employment with consistent weekly hours.
We are looking for a team member who can commit to the role on a permanent basis and become a valued part of the practice for years to come. Due to the specialist nature of the position and the extensive training provided, we are ideally seeking candidates with stable, unrestricted availability who can dedicate themselves to the role without anticipated interruptions.

Working closely with the Office Manager, you will provide vital support across medical administration, accounts administration, hospital bookings and back-office operations, becoming a valued member of a close-knit practice.

What You'll Be Doing This is a varied position suited to someone who enjoys being an office all-rounder and is happy to jump in where needed to support the smooth running of the practice.
Accounts & Administrative Support
- Assisting with accounts administration and bookkeeping support
- Managing data entry and maintaining financial records
- Supporting invoicing, billing and account reconciliations
- Processing and maintaining records through MYOB
- Assisting with other finance-related administration as required
- Coordinating patient admissions and bookings for public and private hospitals
- Supporting Medicare-related administration and documentation
- Maintaining accurate patient and medical records
- Assisting with general patient administration processes
- Providing back-office administrative support to the Office Manager
- Maintaining office documentation, records and filing systems
- Assisting with a variety of ad hoc administrative tasks
- Supporting the day-to-day operations of the practice
- Providing occasional phone support and assisting with enquiries when required
Who We're Looking For To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience in administration, medical administration or office support
- Experience with accounts administration and/or bookkeeping duties
- MYOB experience
- Strong organisational skills and high attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A flexible, hands-on approach and willingness to assist across multiple areas of the business
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office
- A mature, reliable and proactive attitude
- Experience within a specialist medical practice or healthcare environment
- Knowledge of Medicare processes
- Experience coordinating public and private hospital bookings
- Exposure to bookkeeping and financial administration
