Australian specialist recruiter, WOW Recruitment, has landed in the UK under industry leader Jamie Rogers

August 2026

Founded in Australia in 2017, WOW Recruitment has built a reputation for connecting businesses with high-performing talent across events, experiential, marketing, sales, business services, technology and executive search. WOW officially lands in the UK this month, led by industry leader Jamie Rogers.

When Jamie Rogers, who built WOW's Events & Experiential division in Australia, decided to return home to the UK, he proposed taking WOW with him. For WOW, the decision reflected the same principle it applies to clients every day: when you've got the right person, you invest in them.

WOW was founded on the belief that recruitment could keep its personal touch without losing its reach – the instinct of a boutique agency, backed by the infrastructure of a global one. Bristol, London, Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane are built on a process that travels, by people who've done the job on both sides of the table.

The opportunity to build in the UK is real and well-timed. Events is currently the single fastest-growing category for UK marketing investment.

Top of the IPA Bellwether two quarters running, at +11.0% last quarter, against +3.0% for the next category back.

The market is also consolidating fast, on a wave of private-equity backed mergers and acquisitions – the smart money is betting on the UK events, experiential and exhibition sectors.

What’s launching

Jamie will lead WOW's UK office, initially focusing on building an Events & Experiential division, covering:

  • Experiential – creative, spatial design, strategy, production & client services
  • Events – event management, production, AV, client services, delegate & sponsorship sales
  • Exhibitions – design & build, project management, organiser side sales & delivery

"Recruiting in this industry has taken me further than I could have imagined – from my first graduate job here in the UK, out to Australia, and back home again to lead WOW's UK office," said Jamie Rogers, Director. "Along the way I've heard the real reasons hundreds of people join a business, stay and do their best work, and those reasons almost never make it onto a job spec. I thrive in getting to know a company until I understand what actually makes it a place worth building a career, before I ever pitch it to anyone."

The UK launch marks WOW Recruitment's first international expansion, adding to its established Australian presence across Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. The business recruits across events, experiential, marketing, sales, technology, data, business services and executive leadership functions, further evidence that backing the right people is more than a philosophy at WOW.

"Expanding into the UK is a natural next step for WOW. We've spent nearly a decade helping businesses find exceptional people across Australia, and Jamie has proven exactly how powerful our model can be when it's led by great recruiters who genuinely know their market. Launching in the UK allows us to support clients and candidates across another major talent market while maintaining the personal approach we're known for."
